Your files stay on your Mac

Parallel Media Encoder processes everything locally. No cloud uploads, no telemetry, no surprises.

Local-Only Processing

All encoding happens on your Mac using Apple's hardware-accelerated media engine. Your video files are never uploaded to any server — not ours, not anyone else's.

No Telemetry

The app does not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or any other form of telemetry. What you encode, how often, and which files — that's your business, not ours.

Minimal Network Contact

The only network request the app makes is a license key check via Gumroad — once when you activate Pro, then every 30 days. That's it. The free version makes no network requests at all.

No Account Required

Use the free version without creating an account or providing any personal information. Pro requires only a license key from Gumroad — no registration on our end.

What the app sends — and what it doesn't

The app does not collect

  • Video file contents or metadata
  • File system paths or directory structure
  • Encoding settings or presets
  • Usage frequency or session data
  • Crash reports or error logs
  • Hardware fingerprints or IP addresses

What is transmitted

  • License key — Sent to Gumroad for validation on activation, then every 30 days (Pro only)

You may voluntarily share

  • Diagnostic logs — macOS version, hardware model, and clip names. Only if you choose to send them via the contact page for troubleshooting.

Website vs. App

Our website uses standard analytics tools (Google Analytics and HotJar) — but only with your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

The app itself collects nothing beyond a periodic license check. Your projects, clips, encoding settings, and output files never leave your machine. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
